More cool tools

I got my new 48 inch box and pan brake a little over a week ago and got the stand made for it. I already have 4 jobs lined up for it. It's nice to have the tools when you need them.

Paint

Just finished another paint job. I need to photograph everyone I do, but they always seems to be gone 10 minutes after completion. Anyway, I saved the OEM decal on the side and painted around it. Added some semi-ghost flames, a few coats of clear and a little cutting and buffing and viola...sexy!

Cartoons?

This is good for idiots like me. Kind of "The banking system for idiots".

World Gone Mad?

WTF? Does anyone else find it "odd" that suddenly there are mass shootings on every corner? I know this has been a problem for a long time, but holy hell. Now, wait for it...here come the gun control freaks screaming that we need more stringent gun control laws, or better yet, the disarming of all Americans. Yeah, that'll work, 'cause criminals will turn in their guns, right?

Da' Bus

Check this out. It's not mine, but it's pretty cool. Got a email from Clarence asking me to fab some parts for his 47 bus that he's turning into a street rod. Very cool. I want one.

New Toy

I just snagged this cool new toy off of Craigslist. I will be rebuilding and repainting it over the next week or so. Getting it of the trailer was fun...1100 pounds of cast iron. It is a Dayton 48 inch sheet metal shear. This should make quick work of larger pieces like street rod floors and bed sides.

Architecture

I love old architecture. When I was in San Antonio I did the mission tour and it really is awe inspiring. I can't imagine how hard the work was without modern machinery back then. This really looks like it belongs in Rome or something. Beautiful.

Wils bike

I recently made and installed a set of my "retro" bars on Wil's 2003 Fatboy the other day. I cleaned up the controls and eliminated a lot of the wiring. I put a 6 speed in it a couple years ago and now he pumped the motor up to 103 inches. Yeah, it's fast.

Sissy!

I made this sissy bar a while ago for a buddy. It tied in with the 60's emblems on the tank and the ribbed headlight.

Hell Yeah!

MMMMM...nitromethane. Steering with the front wheel off the ground.  If you have ever been next to one of these things, you know how absolutely VIOLENT they are. They will literally make your eyes water just sitting there. Seriously. I've ridden some pretty fast shit in my life, but never one of these. I hope I get the chance before I'm dead.

Daaaamn!

This is my buddy and polisher, Jim's, Vega. It makes aver 900hp at the rear wheels.

Choppin'

Choppin' the top on the rod. It's turning out pretty well so far. Hopefully it will be done by tomorrow and then it's more interior fab work.

Forever dog

This is how it should be. If you can't give a dog the attention and love he/she deserves, then don't get one.

Speechless

I have always dreamt of racing here, but my skill level and wallet would never allow it. These racers are by far THE most talented and ballsy riders on the planet.

Shop truck

Finally getting some work done on the shop truck. I took the grill and bumper off several months ago to edge it in for paint and upgrade the grill, lights, and smooth the bumper for paint. Finally got it on yesterday. Now it's on to the remaining body work and paint. It will finally look as good as it runs. I'm also getting ready to swap the rear end for some 3.73 gears and a custom air bag set up that will work great for towing or daily driving.

Flamin'

Just finished flaming a set of bags for a client that I painted the rest of the bike a few years ago. He asked for "lots of flames". Did I succeed?

Fo' Sale

Selling my panhead project. No time, and I could use the cash to finish some other stuff. $6500 for everything. Hit me up if you're interested.

Casting

Just finished another batch of oil caps. Got 'em in raw, polished, black or brass.

New Goodies

In the never ending quest to develop new and useful products, I came up with this...an oil filter mount for Ironhead Sportsters that doesn't suck. I designed these almost a year ago, but finally got them in production. They bolt to the lower front of the frame using the motor mount bolts. Simple, clean and very effective. This should help lower engine temps a smidge too.

New Ride

Well, it's not "new" actually. I've had it for a month or so. I'm just slowly working the bugs out of it and giving it some much needed love. Pulled 30 or so feet of unneeded wiring out of it today. Eventually, I'll rewire the whole truck from front to back. I tossed the sexy red plaid seats and put the original bench back in it today. Much nicer ride and easier to drive. Watch for updates.

Craftsmanship

Got my drive shaft yesterday from Dennis at D&R Drive line. This thing is gorgeous. One more step closer to getting the rod going. It's a process.

Howdy

The wife and I visited a wildlife park while we were on vacation. This guy really wanted to say "HI!" and he did.

Ummmm, OK.

I was in San Antonio, Texas last week and saw this. Words elude me, except three...WTF.

Politics

So here we are again at a cross roads. Deciding who to vote for. You know, the old "lesser of two evils" scenario. Am I the only one sick of that analogy? Lesser of two evils? Is this really what our political system has become?

I am always the guy telling people to get out there and vote or shut up and stop complaining. Well, this time around it looks like there is no victory for the American people. If you don't like the candidates, then DON'T VOTE. I'm sorry to say that, but don't reinforce this pathetic excuse for a political system. Vote for the issues, but leave the presidency blank. If you vote for the guy that you think is going to win anyway, then what are you really voting for? This isn't a horse race. You don't win if the winner doesn't represent YOU and your beliefs. If there is a libertarian or green party or whatever on the ballot and you feel like that is the best person for the job, then vote for them. YOU ARE NOT THROWING YOUR VOTE AWAY BY VOTING FOR WHO YOU BELIEVE IN!! He/She may not win, but at least you voted for what you believed in and not what the media spoon fed you.

It doesn't matter what party you vote for, the message is the same. But just think about it before you enter the polls this year. Vote for what you believe in regardless of what that is. If you don't agree, that's OK. But if you do, preach this to your friends and family. The only way anything will ever change is if we do it ourselves, and that does not mean only going with the choices "they" give us. It's your choice. Make it count.

Immigration

'Nuff siad.

Truckin'

Bought a new truck recently. Well, not "new", but new to me. It's a 2003 Dodge 1500. I like the ride, but I'm not so sure about the motor. I'm hearing horror stories about the 4.7 V8. I wanted something that got good mileage and would still pull my trailer. Anyone have any advice or comments on the drive train?

Sexy

I traded this 2007 R6 for one of my Jet Skiis. I'm not a big fan of rockets much anymore, but I gotta' say, they really are a shit load of fun. Definitely a good way to get hurt too, if you lack self control. Fortunately for me, years of bad decisions have made me a bit wiser...it's for sale.

Drill, tap, repeat

Modifying a front 19 inch Sporty wheel for rear use. Stage one done. Drill the rotor hole, tap it to a 7/16X14, and repeat. I machined a spacer with a bearing on the drive side to reduce stress on the wheel bearings. I will be offering this as a kit for the DIY guy.

Drop it

Installed a drop seat hard tail the other day. Wow, was this thing tweaked. A combination of him cutting the rear half of the frame off with no motor or fixture in it, and a tweaked hard tail made this a bit of a challenge to install. It took a piece of 2" X 3/16" wall tubing, 8 feet long to straighten it before welding. Looks good now though.

America...sucks?

Well, I'm glad someone said it. I know it's a movie clip, but I ABSOLUTELY agree.

The roof is on fire...

Seriously...it's on fire. This is NUTS!!! There are now 14 or 15 fires going here in Colorado and one is almost on my door step. It won't reach my house, but holy crap, this is bad. I can actually see the flames now. I've been saying I wanted a forge, but this isn't exactly what I had in mind.

Riddle...y me this.

Got a Ridley motorcycle in last week. I was the only guy in the state that would even look at it. It's a 2007 Autoglide. Here's the deal. It would not run over 60 mph and the owner complained that it had no power. I rode it and it felt like a gearing issue, more than  a power issue. I diagnosed it as a worn drive clutch assembly and trashed belt. Ridley wants $750.00 for the drive clutch. It's a Comet torque converter and sells for less than half what Ridley (or whoever bought Ridleys asset's)wants. Fixed the problem. If you need one of these, call me. I now have a great source for parts on these.

Happiness is...

seeing your project finally coming together. I got the cab set on the frame and I finally can see the light at the end of the tunnel. It's still a ways off, but it looks like a vehicle now.

bars

Vintage bars. My twist on an old classic.

Been away for awhile

So I've been away for awhile. Took a job with the local BMW motorcycle dealership as a service manager. Long story short...I wasn't meant to work for someone else. Besides, I had no time to work on my
projects.

I finally got the rod chassis back from powder coat and started assembly. Looking pretty good. Hopefully I'll get the cab on soon and start the body work.

Save Our Country

If we don't get a good president this election, I'm afraid things (meaning our economy AND our freedom) are going to get worse. PLEASE vote Ron Paul this term. Check him out on Youtube and do your research. You're NOT throwing your vote away when you vote for someone that some people say won't win. Vote for who YOU believe in, and most of all...VOTE!!

The media is so biased it makes me sick. They purposely block him out and act like he doesn't exist. WE NEED REAL CHANGE!! Vote RON PAUL, 2012!

Nobility

A noble looking specimen, eh?

The Archives

I just found this photo on one of my old discs. Me and Chica in Sturgis around '05 or '06. Cool dude. Damn...I had hair then too.

Watsky

This kid never ceases to amaze me.

Purdy...

Yep. Sure is. Finished the paint on the softail and got it installed today. Now it's on to exhaust and wiring and it's ready to ride.
